recycle mobile phones

Don’t leave your old mobile phones sitting around in a dusty corner of the office.

Although it is never too late to recycle old mobile phones, we recommended you recycle your old phones as soon as possible to ensure you receive the optimum return for them. The longer you leave them lying around, the less value they have.

At PhoneCycle, we are strong supporters of the recommendations of the Mobile Phone Working Group (MPWG), which encourages people worldwide to avoid throwing their old mobile phones into landfill. That is why we have set up a hassle-free collection service ensuring that the phones are recycled following the guidelines put forward by the MPWG in accordance with the United Nations’ Basel Convention.

A key recommendation of the MPWG is for Australians to deliver old mobile phones promptly to a recycler to ensure that the phones retain the best reuse or recycling value.

As of 30th of June 2011, Australia has over 29 million phone subscribers, upgrading or changing their mobile phones every 18 to 24 months on average. We are advocates of giving working mobile phones a prolonged life and refurbishing non-working phones so that they can be implemented in a wide range of further uses.

Currently, 70% of mobile phone users to at least 1 mobile phone lying around their homes. 31% have 2 or more lying around the house.

PhoneCycle encourages our customers not to give up on damaged or broken phones. We welcome non-working mobile phones as well, as we harvest them for parts in order to refurbish other phones so that they regain functionality.

Contact us to arrange a free quote of how much your old mobile phones are worth and generate revenue for your company or charity as well as put these phones to good use as per the guidelines of Mobile Phone Working Group.
